I love the stamens - they seem to be an essential part of their design!

It was disappointing Teresa- I seldom get to meet with other artists too, which I was looking forward to. Ah well! Thanks for your nice comment :)Cathy Gatlandhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05004501411878060668noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4859449716295663213.post-66616556876048834722009-10-12T18:22:57.710+02:002009-10-12T18:22:57.710+02:00So sorry to hear about the cancellation of your cl...So sorry to hear about the cancellation of your class... so disappointing when you're excited about learning and ready to paint. On the bright side though, I see you've put some of your time to good use... this monochrome is simply gorgeous!Teresahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14186138266137470331noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4859449716295663213.post-68791650101494038982009-10-12T16:25:41.845+02:002009-10-12T16:25:41.845+02:00How disappointing to have the workshop fall throug...How disappointing to have the workshop fall through, Cathy.

The lily is lovely though. I know people recommend cutting out the pollen but I can never bring myself to do it so I always end up with stains on my clothes or tablecloths.Robyn Sinclairhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01663604160297996421noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4859449716295663213.post-11542767555790499492009-10-10T17:10:40.300+02:002009-10-10T17:10:40.300+02:00Thanks Maree - I don't think he teaches regula...Thanks Maree - I don't think he teaches regularly, though some years ago he had a Saturday group at his home in Parkview. I suspect he is too busy with his own work now, he's exhibiting quite often. His mom is Leigh Voigt - I don't know if you know her wonderful Nguni cows and other nature watercolour works.Cathy Gatlandhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05004501411878060668noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4859449716295663213.post-74984431207246240242009-10-10T14:22:24.003+02:002009-10-10T14:22:24.003+02:00A really lovely sketch Cathy.
