The Brush Project

HERE are my brushes!! I was embarrassed to find that the link I put in yesterday's post, saying I was busy doing this, *popped up on 'paintings prints and stuff' - Vivien Blackburn's blog where she posted this project (*hey, how do you do that?) - and I couldn't work out how to remove it. So, here they are - they really are fun to draw...lots of different textures on small areas. I messed up the shadow on the right side, it slanted away from the bristle end to the back, and mine goes too straight with a bend inwards. I used pen and Peat Brown W&N ink, and Higgins black ink, and a few soft watercolour washes in places, on a Schoellershammer Aquarelle block that I think I've had for about 30 years! The two brushes on the left I've had forever too, I don't think I've ever used the one on top, but it's pretty.

ooops that was me with the dreaded lurgy here who put the link on too fast! I'll fix it now.

Oh whew - thanks Vivien, thought my lack of techno-skills did it. Glad you're feeling better...

Fabulous brushes Cathy, they look as if I could reach out and pick one up. I'm glad to see someone else has brushes with maturity too...:)
