I'm spinning my wheels a bit and not getting anything of any substance done - one of my many distractions was
this fun thing that
Vivien and
Joanne did on their blogs. It is a very small 24x18cm painting from a series of cake paintings I did for a particular food exhibition some years ago.
Here's another one - those gallery viewers must be feeling quite ill!

The act of putting these paintings into a gallery setting sure makes them more important, doesn't it? Love the cake! Might make me too hungry to have it on my wall, though :) But wouldn't it look gorgeous in a cafe or a bakery?
It certainly does Rhonda - I would never have the gall to do such a big painting of cake, though I remember a fabulous doughnut done on about this scale by (I think!) Duane Keiser
Chocolate gateaux and koeksusters! They deserve to be up on the gallery wall - fabulous.
Bang goes another diet! I am fatter just looking at these. What fun!
