Food for the soul

Been very busy making those red windmills for the children at church to wave around on Pentecost Sunday in a couple of days, so just some quick sketches in my journal (also inspired by Martha at Trumpetvine Travels who paid me a visit yesterday, and who makes fantastic sketch journals).
I've been wanting to draw my breakfast for a long time - I just love it, though it takes a lot of chopping and mixing and chewing - keeps me going for hours. I discovered though, that it's not as healthy as I thought - the fruit has a lot of sugar and the granola a lot of fat, so I add more oats and make the portions smaller, except when there are delicious raspberries, and granadillas, and gooseberries and...and..

Hmmm - yummy!! Ooooo, but I can't look at that right now. I've started a Herbalife programme - two choccy shakes a day instead of meals, along with herbal tea + vitamins... And then a balanced meal for supper. Fortunately the shakes taste really good and are quite filling. Still crave my regular tea + a cookie, which I'm going to go have right now! Bye!! XXXOOO

It must be the season for a diet, as I too am trying to shake some kggg. Now that breakfast looks delicious, and the cape gooseberries (Physalis in UK)seriously addictive. How can anything so good for you be fattening? If you wave the red windmills energetically enough...??they are such fun... the Pentecost service should be one to remember. It is Mothers' Day here.. everyone's away so my neighbours are adopting me for lunch!

Happy Mother's Day to you both (now a day late)! You have such lovely neighbours V, like extra family for when yours are a-wandering. Now, you aren't to get a whole lot thinner than me, I'd better halve that brekkie and go off on my walk...hope to get some inspiration on the way!
