We woke up to Barack Obama's acceptance speech this morning and have been moved and enthralled by the enthusiasm and joy of the crowds of people and the dignity and grace of the speeches of both the winning, and the losing candidate. Congratulations and best wishes to the new president, and all of the USA on an inspiring democratic event. I scouted my garden for some appropriately red, white and blue flowers, and this lily (don't know it's name?) agapanthus and star jasmine obliged in joining the celebrations!
